Day 1: Casablanca & Rabat

Start your adventure in Casablanca with a guided tour of the Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest and most impressive mosques. After exploring this iconic site, we head to Rabat, Morocco’s capital.

In Rabat, visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, a 12th-century fortress overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and the Hassan Tower, an incomplete minaret from an ambitious mosque project. Enjoy a leisurely break with a pastry under the oak trees and quiet, clean sidewalks at one of Rabat’s historic cafes.

Spend the rest of the day exploring more historic sites and royal residences of Rabat. Tour the local souq, which offers traditional crafts and decor, giving you a taste of local life.

After a full day of exploring Casablanca and Rabat, we continue to Meknes for a peaceful night in your traditional Riad.

Day 2: Meknes and Volubilis

Start your day with a hearty breakfast in your traditional Riad. Our first stop is the historic city of Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Visit the impressive Bab Mansour, a grand gateway known for its stunning architecture, and Heri es-Souani, the ancient granaries and stables built by Sultan Moulay Ismail.

Next, we travel to the small town of Moulay Zerhoun, a significant spiritual site. Here, visit the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss I, the founder of the first Moroccan Islamic dynasty. The town’s whitewashed buildings and winding streets provide a delightful atmosphere.

Our journey continues to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. This UNESCO World Heritage site features well-preserved ruins from the city’s heyday (24-285 AD). Wander through the remains of grand houses, intricate mosaics, and towering columns, all set against a backdrop of rolling hills and green fields. Volubilis offers a fascinating look into Morocco’s Roman past.

After a day of historical exploration, return to your Riad in Meknes for a restful night, reflecting on the rich history and culture you’ve experienced.

Day 3: Fez and Its Surroundings

Start your day with a visit to Borj Nord, a 16th-century fortress offering panoramic views of Fez. Explore the museum inside, which houses a vast collection of arms and armor, and take a moment to appreciate the breathtaking scenery.

Next, head to the Royal Palace, Dar el Makhzen. While the palace isn’t open to the public, you can admire the stunning gates and beautifully crafted brass doors, a valid symbol of Fez’s grandeur.

Afterward, we head to Fez, the walled city, beginning at Bab Boujloud, the Blue Gate. We will wander through the narrow streets and vivid souqs. We will visit the traditional tanneries, where leather goods are crafted using centuries-old methods. We will also explore historic mosques and Places known for their intricate architecture and historical significance.

In the evening, head to the Marinid Tombs. Perched on a hill overlooking the city, these ruins offer a stunning vantage point to catch an unforgettable sunset over Fez. The view from here encapsulates the city’s beauty and history, providing a perfect end to your day.

Return to your Riad in Fez for a restful night, reflecting on the diverse experiences and historical treasures you discovered throughout the day.
